One Week After Surgery

Wow - what a week.  I have not been diligent about writing, but in all honesty, I'm E X H A U S T E D.

I've gotten so many calls; flowers; cards - I can't thank you all enough.  I've never felt more loved in my life.

I promise to write more tomorrow - hopefully I will have more news then as well as it is my first follow up appointment with my surgeon.

I will leave you with a couple highlights..........I'm down from 7 pills to 2 for diabetes - and from 25 units of insulin to 12 - and my glucose levels are stabalizing.  Most of you were not aware of how bad things had gotten for me - but .... now you are up to date.

Highlight #2 - as of today I am down 14.5 lbs.  Crazy - but I thought it would have been more - but I'm not sure I am getting enough protein in my diet.  It's really difficult - moreso than I thought.

I am off to bed - for the 12th time today.  I keep walking laps around my living room - which at the moment is enough for me.  I stupidly asked Jordan to take me to PetSmart to get the dogs new bowls - the ride was not fun - and the walk from the parking lot - into the store - and back was unreal.  By the end I was in pain, weak, TIRED, and ready for bed.

More tomorrow........vicodin here I come..........goodnight..........

  1. Lynn, I know it's not easy but keep getting up, do your living room laps when you can. YOU WILL GET STRONGER! Little steps add up.... Mike
